Gretchen Dettmer
Founding lawyer
Gretchen started the firm so people could hear the fee on the first call, and meet a lawyer without leaving home.
She spent her first years out of law school on the other side of these cases, reading collection files for a debt buyer, and left once she understood how many of them were wrong.
Now she handles most of the firm’s Chapter 7 cases and as many first calls as she can fit in a day. Clients say she reads letters out loud, slowly, which she says is the whole trick.
Most of the work
- Chapter 7
- Wage garnishment
- Medical debt
- Collection lawsuits
